first I began by sketching out my landscape idea. Next, I set up my document in AI by starting a new file, going to print selecting the orientation (vertical or horizontal) and clicking Create. I then set up the background by adding a rectangle and changing the fill to a gradient, in the gradient option I rotated the fill 90 degrees. Then I added an ellipse and chang the fill to a gradient and in the gradient option I changed the fill to look like a sun then I went to FX by going to FX>Styalize>outerglow. Next with the pen tool I traced a cloud and added FX went to blur and clicked on Gaussian blur. Also with the pen tool, I traced New York City a bird a plane, and a helicopter and added them to my landscape.
